Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska soccer team (1-4-2) concluded its final weekend of non-conference action with a 2-1 loss to Gonzaga (6-2) at Hibner Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Huskers struck first with a goal in the 21st minute, as senior Savanah Uveges converted a penalty kick after Marissa Popoola was fouled in the box. It marked the first goal of the season for Uveges and 10th of her career at Nebraska.
Gonzaga tied the game in the 29th minute when India Jencks drove past the Husker defense and slipped her shot into the bottom right corner.
