Des Moines, Iowa --The Nebraska women's tennis team started off on a high note winning each of its five singles matches on the opening day of the Drake Invite.
Sophomore Chloe Kuckelman impressively defeated Ines Absisan of Omaha 6-0, 6-1. In the 2020-21 season, Absisan played predominately at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots for the Mavericks.
Fellow sophomore Vivien Sandberg also defeated an Omaha Maverick. In straight sets, Sandberg picked up the 6-4, 6-1 win over Lillian Tiemeyer. Last season, Tiemeyer recorded wins in the No. 4 and No.
