Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska women's tennis team (2-2, 0-0 Big Ten) defeated Wichita State (4-3, 0-0 AAC) 6-1 on Sunday at the Dillon Tennis Center.
The Huskers faced the Shockers in three doubles matches and six singles matches. In doubles, Chloe Kuckelman and Ellie Kuckelman fought back to secure the win, defeating Wichita State's LingWei Kong and Natsumi Kurahashi, 6-3. Also gaining a doubles win was Kristina Novak and Samantha Alicea, as they defeated Harriet Hamilton and Clara Whitaker, 6-0. Rounding out doubles play was sophomores Isabel Adrover Gallego and Maja Makoric who battled Wichita State's Dohee Lee and Bianca Rademacher to an unfinished 5-4.
