The No. 13 Nebraska rifle team used a record-setting performance to defeat No. 11 Air Force by a score of 4,717-4,692 on Saturday.
The Huskers, who improved to 3-0 on the season, broke school record for aggregate (4,717) and smallbore (2,345). The total broke the school mark of 4,707 set at the 2020 NCAA qualifier, while the previous smallbore mark of 2,239 was set against Air Force back in 2005.
"I am incredibly proud of my team," said Head Coach Mindy Miles. "They set multiple records for Nebraska. There were so many great scores by all members of the team.
