Huskers can't recover from early hole, eliminated from Big Ten Tournament

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Nebraska squandered several scoring chances Friday afternoon against Iowa in the Big Ten Tournament and found itself in survival mode.

Despite recording 12 hits against the Hawkeyes, the Huskers were shut out 2-0 at Bart Kaufman Field and stranded 14 runners.

Nebraska dropped to Friday night's elimination game against Maryland, where the Terrapins won 8-5 in a game that finished well after midnight.

The Huskers were missing a key piece during Friday's game against the Terrapins. Jake Meyers, the Husker two-way player, was not in the lineup because he tightened up between games.
