Nebraska brought more fight. Wisconsin's hot hitting, however, was still too much to overcome.
A four-run start, punctuated by a three-run homer from Stephanie Lombardo, forced the NU softball team to play catchup for a second straight day, and the Huskers were unable to recover in an 11-4 loss Saturday at Bowlin Stadium.
The Badgers (24-19, 8-8 Big Ten) clinched the series in front of the largest crowd of the season (1,601 spectators), and handed Nebraska (30-19, 8-10) its fifth straight loss.
Nebraska, which lost 6-1 Friday, showed fight early, responding to Wisconsin's four-run first inning with three runs of its own in the bottom of the first.
