Huskers begin stretch run with plenty on the line after week off

On June 12 of last year, one day before the Nebraska men's basketball team started summer workouts, guard Thomas Allen hopped on Twitter.

The tweet: "Workouts officially start tomorrow. Got a good feeling it's gone be a good year!"

As the Huskers return to the court Tuesday, their fate still fully in front of them, Allen is starting to look more and more like a psychic.

Nebraska takes its next step toward what it hopes is a strong finish against Minnesota at Williams Arena in Minneapolis. Tip is set for 8 p.m.

Allen and his teammates already knew what they had back in the summer, with transfers James Palmer and Isaac Copeland ready to enter the fold, and Anton Gill fully healthy after knee surgery.
