Nebraska and Creighton head into Wednesday night's game — the last of a three-game season series — looking down at their peers from the top of their respective conference standings.
And while Wednesday's tilt won't change anything on that front, the winner gets bragging rights and maybe that much more of a boost as the regular season enters its final weeks.
Nebraska (29-16-1) enters the game as a top 25 team for the first time since 2015. Baseball America put the Huskers in the No. 25 spot after a weekend sweep of Rutgers gave NU its fifth win in a row, and seventh in its last eight games.
