Huskers are more confident during second season with coach Amy Williams

The second year with Amy Williams coaching the Nebraska women’s basketball team is already better than the first.

Nebraska has a 13-6 record, is 4-2 in the Big Ten Conference and has beaten a ranked team, something that didn’t happen all of last season.

And despite losing its leading scorer from last season, Jessica Shepard, to transfer, the Huskers are 8.1 points per game better offensively than last season.

“I think the biggest thing is just the players are starting to play with more confidence, is kind of the area that I see it the most.
