Spring break means a trip to California is in store for the Nebraska baseball team. The Huskers, however, will be all business.
Nebraska will play five games in five days in the Golden State starting at Cal State Bakersfield at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The Huskers also will play four games at Cal Poly beginning Thursday.
The Huskers (9-8) have won four straight, which included a weekend sweep of College of Charleston at Haymarket Park. Nebraska outscored the Cougars 22-4 and the NU bats produced 29 hits.
"We've picked it up well," NU second baseman Jake Schleppenbach said of the Huskers' rise in offensive production.
