Sophomore Henry Zimmerman joins the Huskers Track and Field team after spending his first year at Penn State.
During his first collegiate year, Zimmerman claimed his first hammer throw title at the Big Ten Florida Invite with a throw of 197-01 (60.08m). He placed second in the same event at the Jesse Owens Invite with a throw of 199-5 (60.79m). At the Big Ten Championships, Zimmerman finished in sixth in the hammer throw with a throw of 119-4 (60.76m). He finished his year at the NCAA East Prelims where he finished 43rd.
A New Albany, Ohio native, Zimmerman was a three-time All-State honoree at New Albany High School, an Ohio State Champion and an All-American.
