He's grown up in the town of an old Husker rival. Yet Brenden Jaimes found himself feeling right in place when he visited Lincoln with his father for the first time this weekend.
So much felt right that the offensive tackle from Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas, committed to Nebraska just hours after Saturday's Spring Game ended.
It was a quick romance that led to the decision.
"I had nothing to do with Nebraska for a while," Jaimes said.
Then offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh extended an offer a few weeks ago. Jaimes started looking up information on Nebraska.
