Dan Kendig doesn't know the exact reason, nor can he predict the future.
But for whatever reason, there always seems to be a midseason meet where there's just a little slide back for his Nebraska women's gymnastics team.
That was the Huskers last weekend at Illinois. The score (195.675) was just slightly above the team's season low, which came in the opening week of the season, but the Husker head coach noted they came out of the meet with a win to remain undefeated and in the driver's seat for the outright Big Ten title.
"It's been meets like last weekend that has generally catapulted us to greatness," Kendig said.
