The Nebraska women’s basketball team rallied from a six-point deficit to start the fourth quarter and beat Michigan 70-56 on Friday in the Big Ten opener at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Nebraska often struggled with turnovers and missed shots in the first three quarters, but the Huskers outscored Michigan 33-13 in the fourth quarter.
Junior guard Nicea Eliely led Nebraska with 14 points and four steals. Sam Haiby added 12 points, and Leigha Brown had 11.
In the third quarter, Nebraska only made three field goals and scored 10 points, so Michigan led 43-37 to start the final 10 minutes.
