The Husker freshman won her first outdoor collegiate race in Saturday's 400 meters at the Pac-12 vs. Big Ten Challenge in Tempe, Arizona.
Griggs won by nearly 1½ seconds with a personal-best time of 54.78 seconds.
She wasn't the only Husker on the fast track. Nebraska won the women's 400 relay in a meet-record time. Jazmin McCoy, Lakayla Harris, Chanel Freeman and Quashira McIntosh teamed to win in :44.79 and edge second-place Penn State.
Harris then followed that by running a meet record :23.7 to win the 200. She broke the 2015 mark of :23.91 set by former Husker Brena Andrews.
