The Nebraska junior shortstop was named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA national player of the week, and the Madness National softball field player of the week.
Edwards went 7-for-12 in four games, finishing with five home runs and 14 RBIs. She tied a single-game school record with eight RBIs in Sunday's 16-2 win against Pittsburgh.
Edwards hit .125 over the first weekend of the season, but boosted her batting average to .321. Her 18 RBIs lead the Big Ten Conference.
