Nebraska already has its quarterback recruiting wrapped up for the Class of 2019 thanks to Luke McCaffrey’s verbal commitment last month.
That means Mario Verduzco and the Huskers are already looking further down the road and recruiting signal-callers for future cycles.
Among the early candidates for 2020 is Logan Smothers of Athens, Alabama. Smothers, listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, has not only been to campus already but he’s already got a return trip on the books.
