Husker hoops: Shields, Theriot named Senior CLASS award candidates

Seniors Shavon Shields and Rachel Theriot were both named to respective Senior CLASS award candidate lists.

Shields is a three-year captain and has started 101 consecutive games dating back to his freshman year. He is closing in on the top 10 of Nebraska's career scoring list and is one of only seven players in school history with 1,400 points and 600 rebounds. Shields was also a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2015 and a two-time academic All-Big Ten honoree.

Theriot has helped lead the Huskers to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, ranks fifth in Nebraska history with 553 career assists and has scored more than 1,200 points during her career.
