Husker Hoops Hand Colorado a Haunting Halloween Defeat

It was all treats and no tricks for the Nebraska men’s basketball team on Sunday as they dominated their exhibition matchup against Colorado 82-67 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers never trailed in the contest, leading 44-28 at halftime and by as many as 27 points in the second half against their former Big 8 & Big 12 Conference mates.

Five-star freshman Bryce McGowens led all scorers with 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the floor, including 2-for-5 from 3-point range and 3-for-5 at the free throw line.

Nebraska grabbed control of the game defensively, forcing Colorado into missing 10 straight field goals, allowing NU to surge ahead 16-6 before the Buffs broke their cold spell with Nique Clifford’s and-1 lay-up off an offensive rebound at the 14:05 mark.
