Nebraska began basketball practice this week with two key newcomers on the sideline.
Anton Gill, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound shooting guard, is a couple weeks from being ready to practice full-go after recently undergoing a procedure on his knee to prevent chronic tendinitis, according to Husker coach Tim Miles.
Meanwhile, 6-8, 214-pound forward Isaiah Roby, a touted true freshman, may be a month away from being able to practice because of a stress reaction in his pelvis area, Miles told reporters Wednesday during a news conference at the Devaney Center.
"It takes a long time to heal, and the only way to heal it is by not doing anything, which drives him crazy," Miles said.
