Heraklion, Crete - Australia picked up its first victory at the FIBA Under-19 World Championship Tuesday with a 93-64 rout of Tunisia.
Incoming Husker freshman Jack McVeigh played just 13 minutes because of foul trouble and had three points, four rebounds and a pair of assists. With the win, Australia, which used a 20-7 run to break open a three-point game, finished third in Group C with a 1-2 record.
McVeigh has come off the bench in all three games and is averaging 8.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in group play.
