Marijuana-related charges have been dropped against Nebraska football player Stanley Morgan Jr., who was cited in May with misdemeanor charges in Florida, according to court documents.

Morgan and Huskers safety Antonio Reed faced charges after police found marijuana in a car Morgan was driving during a traffic stop May 6 in Port Orange, Florida, according to an affidavit.

An officer approached the vehicle at a gas station and reported smelling marijuana. The officer found marijuana in both Morgan's and Reed's backpacks, the affidavit said. The men said they had purchased the drugs in Florida while on vacation.
