Overall: Jake Meyers, a reliever, will likely start in right field and back up Scott Schreiber at first. Ben Miller will DH and play some first base, and veteran Jake Placzek, who has started at shortstop, third and second, will be used at all of those positions. Luis Alvarado is carrying two gloves now, third and outfield, and is ready for both positions.
