The Nebraska baseball team heads into this weekend's series against Maryland in a similar situation to last year — just on the opposite end of the Big Ten conference standings.
The Huskers, currently 11th in the Big Ten and 2½ games out of eighth place and a spot in the league tournament, begin the first of their final three league series Friday against Maryland.
"Everyone knows this is an important weekend. We need to start winning games; we need to win conference games; we need to get into that tournament," senior slugger Scott Schreiber said. "But you approach it the same as you would any other game.
