Husker baseball drops suspended game at Ohio State

Needing to avoid bad losses over the final half of the conference season, the Nebraska baseball team took a pretty bad one in the first game of a three-game series at Ohio State Saturday.

In a game that started with Nebraska dominating Friday night but was delayed by bad weather, the Buckeyes (17-24, 5-8 Big Ten) battered NU reliever Matt Waldron for six runs in the fifth inning on the way to a 9-7 win Saturday afternoon in Columbus, Ohio.

The Huskers (24-16-1, 7-5-1) led 5-2 heading to the bottom of the fourth inning Friday night, with starter Jake Hohensee working three hitless innings and retiring nine straight batters.
