Not surprisingly, the energy to start Saturday’s game against Rutgers wasn’t the best.
So coach Tim Miles cycled through his rotation, and when he didn’t find the spark he was wanting, and when Nebraska trailed 33-27, Miles changed his defense.
Nebraska switched to a 2-3 zone, held Rutgers without a field goal for the final 7:35 of the first half and used an 18-3 run to pull away in its 87-63 victory Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Miles made the defensive switch “because they were going to get anything they wanted.
