Yes, these games fall under the “before the football season starts so we are calling it week zero” moniker. No, I don’t know why they just don’t call it week one. A game is a game right? Colleges start playing football, thus the season has begun. It is week one.
But I do not have any say in these matters. I guess it is just more fun to call it week zero.
