Devine Ozigbo is proving to be more than a flash in the pan for Nebraska this fall.
In fact, he’s had the two most productive outings of his career sandwiched around an uneventful evening in Madison, Wisconsin — the Huskers barely even tried to run the ball against the Badgers, content instead to try to exploit UW’s young secondary — and is settling into rhythm as the veteran half of a senior-freshman 1-2 punch with Maurice Washington.
Much has been made and written about Ozigbo’s physical improvements this offseason — the weight shed and the quickness added and the conditioning honed — but it’s also clear that he’s getting more and more comfortable within coach Scott Frost’s offense.
