High school coach sees similarities in Miller, Gregory

Nebraska is getting another defensive lineman from Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana.

That’s where former Husker Randy Gregory played high school ball, before heading to junior college and later Nebraska, where he had 17½ sacks in two seasons.

Wednesday, the Huskers signed Collin Miller out of Hamilton Southeastern. At 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, Miller is projected to play defensive end for the Huskers.

Hamilton Southeastern coach Scott May coached both Gregory and Miller.

“For me they played the exact same position,” May said. “They were both explosive guys off the ball with great first steps.
