EVANSTON, Ill. — It looked as if Scott Frost was going to collect his first career win as the head coach at his alma mater with a victory over Northwestern at Ryan Field on Saturday afternoon.
Then, disaster struck, and the Huskers fell to the Wildcats 34-31 in overtime.
With two minutes remaining on the game clock and 99 yards in front of them, the Wildcats marched down the field to tie the game at 31 with 12 seconds remaining.
The drive, which took just 1:50 off the clock, took eight plays. It started with a roughing the passer penalty on Carlos Davis in the end zone.
