Allie Havers is proof that the Nebraska women’s basketball program has experienced much better days than it has over the past year.
In the first two years of her career, Havers played on Nebraska teams that won a Big Ten Conference Tournament championship and played in two NCAA Tournaments.
But the past year hasn’t been as bright for the program. The end of last season ended with the stress of an athletic department investigation into the program that led to the resignation of coach Connie Yori. After once being in line to make another trip to the NCAA Tournament, the Huskers lost five of their last six games.
