Hallmark's inside-the-park slam sparks Huskers at Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Inside-the-park grand slams don’t happen often, but that didn’t stop Jaxon Hallmark from clearing the bases and driving himself in with Little League home run that propelled Nebraska (14-9) to a 7-0 win over former Big 12 foe Kansas State (12-17) on Tuesday night at Tointon Family Stadium.

He made a running catch into the center-field wall for the first out in the third inning, then caught a Jordon Maxson fly ball and doubled off Caleb Littlejim at first base to end the inning.

Nebraska went with freshman Kyle Perry on the mound for the second Tuesday in a row.
