Nebraska picked up a key win on Saturday, defeating the Arizona State Sun Devils 2-1 to even the series at one game a piece. Nebraska used Nate Fisher, Robbie Palkert, and Colby Gomes to strike out 14 Sun Devils.
Fisher started the game off strong. He was able to strike out potential top ten MLB draft pick Hunter Bishop to strand a runner in the first inning.
Nebraska stranded Mojo Hagge on second in the first inning. Both Aaron Palensky and Luke Roskam were unable to get a key hit with Mojo on second.
After Nebraska turned a 1-6-3 double play in the third, the Huskers took a 1-0 lead.
