Former Nebraska women's basketball All-American Kelsey Griffin claimed her fourth WNBL team championship by helping the Canberra Capitals to their second straight title on Wednesday in Australia.
Canberra rallied from 16 points down to post a 71-68 victory over the Southside Flyers in the best-of-three series at AIS Arena. The Capitals won the series opener 82-80 on Sunday over the Flyers at Dandedong Stadium. Griffin closed her eighth WNBL season with five points and 13 rebounds in the victory. In the opening game of the series, Griffin powered the Capitals with 18 points, 12 rebounds and two assists to put them in position for the crown.
