Goals from freshman Kenzie Coons and senior Faith Carter lifted the Nebraska soccer team to a 2-1 upset of No. 13 N.C. State on Sunday in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The win provides a much-needed boost for the Huskers (4-3-1), who snapped a three-match losing skid. NU handed the Wolfpack (6-1-1) their first defeat of the season, and snapped their 14-match home unbeaten streak.
Junior goalkeeper Aubrei Corder made a season-high six saves, one shy off her career high. She was one of four Huskers to play the full 90 minutes along with Sinclaire Miramontez, Grace Brown and Meg Brandt.
