Just a sophomore, the Lincoln Southwest graduate had already experienced some cool moments as a collegiate ball player.
He was in the Texas A&M lineup on the first day of his freshman season. He hit a home run during Super Regionals. He grew up going to the College World Series, and now he had played in it.
"It honestly game me chills to hear another Lincoln guy going on the field with me," Foster said.
Two games later, Nolan Hoffman, a Lincoln Southeast graduate, made his Aggie debut and pitched two scoreless innings.
Hoffman was in class during the fall of 2016 when he got a call from an unknown number.
