The Nebraska athletic department recently hired a stat guru. CornNation is way ahead of the curve as multiple smart-math-guys are CN writers, and have been for a while. One of the most recent additions was Keith Yaple. Keith has quickly worked his way up to "head baseball fan" here at CN, allowing Jon enough free time to get a puppy. (Ask Jon how that is going. I dare you). Personally, I have really appreciated Keith's knack for sorting through the noise and quickly pinpointing useful tidbits in various articles we share in the staff chats.
