1. Game of thirds. Nebraska is last in the Big Ten in third-down conversion percentage and has too often found itself in third-and-long. The Huskers have to make life easier on themselves and convert a higher percentage.

2. 8+10+28. As Nebraska’s season progresses, it becomes more clear who the top play-making options are. Expect the Huskers to try to squeeze as much juice as possible out of receivers Stanley Morgan and JD Spielman and running back Maurice Washington.
