Frosted Flakes: Waterfalls, Guinea Pigs and Long Travel Days

I crossed into Peru a few days ago (my 30th country) and I’ve enjoyed it so far. The first big thing I did in Peru was hike to Cataratas de Gocta near Chachapoyas. It’s the 16th highest waterfall in the world and is probably up there with one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. I also plan to hike to the world’s 5th highest waterfall, Cataratas de Yumbila, this weekend.

Chachapoyas itself is of the main backpacker trail and located in the Amazonas region of northern Peru. I’ve talked to a lot of people who have visited Peru haven’t visited this area so I’m looking forward to doing more cool things here.
