It was great growing up in the Nebraska in the 1990’s. The country was doing fairly well, indie music was blowing up, and Cornhusker sports was about as good as you could get. The football, basketball, and volleyball teams were all the hottest tickets in town.
There was also a voice behind the Cornhuskers, football back then. A distinctive voice that I will always think of when someone says “The voice of the Huskers”.
If you grew up back then to “Touchdown Tommie Frazier!” or more often “Touchdown-Touchdown-Touchdown Tommie Frazier!” was constantly ringing in your ears as Husker football games would play on.
