My kids got quite a few project gifts for Christmas. I generally encourage these gifts, as I think it’s good for them to use their brains and follow written and oral directions, but I do find a lot of effort being put in on my part.
I know, I should be grateful for the time spent with my kids, and I am. But the time is not always pleasant. I mean some of the screws on these things are tiny and that gets frustrating.
So far in the past couple weeks, my husband and I have “helped” build a Harry Potter Whomping Willow Lego set (okay, I thought that was really cool), a tin can robot ( I had a to drink a beer so he had a can for that), a mega cyborghand, gear towers with for a motorized gear set, set up a growth capsule for crystals to grow.
