The big news today was the Big Ten office releasing the 2020 football schedule.
At least, we hope there will be football.
Regardless, the schedule developed by the league office is pretty ingenious. A lot of work went into scheduling ‘pods’ of games in such a way that teams playing each other share bye weeks. A game that has to be postponed can be moved to a bye week for both teams.
If lots of games start getting postponed, they could get rescheduled to back end of the season. There are two weeks between when the season is scheduled to end and before the conference championship game (December 5).
