A quick background refresher: At Maryland, offensive lineman Jordan McNair died in June following a supervised workout and, this month, ESPN has done extensive reporting on the death and the culture in the football program. On Tuesday in a news conference, Maryland school president Wallace Loh said the school would take, “moral and legal responsibility” for McNair’s death and also promised an investigation into the claims about poor culture in the program.
