The best moment from the press conferences yesterday after spring practice was when Nebraska football offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen was asked a question about current Husker wide receiver coach Daikiel Shorts.
“When did you know that Daikiel Shorts would be a good coach?”
Coach Holgorsen: “When he ran a 4.7.”
Holgorsen continued after the laughs died down:
“I mean the dude started (he played for Holgorsen at West Virginia) for four years and was a team captain right? So he had presence. He was intelligent. He was tough. He never came off the field.
