One thing from spring practice which appear to be a constant is that Emmett Johnson will be the starting running back for Nebraska this coming spring.
What is starting to be apparent is that Kwinten Ives has started to separate himself in the back-up and/or short yardage situation back conversation.
Yesterday, running backs coach E.J. Barthel was effusive in his praise for Kwinten Ives. He said that Ives running the best he’s ever seen him and that even though Ives continues to put on weight he has not lost any speed.
That’s impressive because when he arrived on campus he was 185 pounds and right now Ives mentioned that he is hovering around 215 pounds.
