Friday Flakes: The Nebraska Football Spring Game Won’t Resemble Much of a Game this Year

On Wednesday night, Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen essentially said what some others have been mumbling about in that the Nebraska Spring Game as we have known it essentially will not exist going forward.

Here’s a quote from Dannen:

“I am not going to call it a spring game. And do not call it a spring game because I do not expect it to be a game. I don’t know what it’s going to be just yet. Really, that’s going to be Coach Rhule’s call.”

For those wondering, the major culprit for the gutting of the spring game is the new 105 player roster limit that is being forced upon college football by those in the sport that are simply better people than the rest of us.
