Pete Thamel of ESPN has been reporting on the settlement discussions involving the potential move toward Universities directly compensating players.
It looks like some common sense has shown up as a potential roster cap number I heard was 85 which appeared to me to be ridiculous.
Thankfully it appears that the discussion is now looking at roster sizes of 100 to 110.
*The range of roster limits being discussed is between 100 and 110, with the Big Ten lobbying for the higher side of that range. There’s discussion of a “phase in” on this, so teams with giant rosters – think 130/140 – potentially don’t have to make immediate giant cuts for 2025.
