Camp begins around the beginning of August and the season-opener is Aug. 31, which is about 4½ months away.
Inside linebacker coach Barrett Ruud didn’t have much depth to begin with and now, it will be cut further, at least for the offseason. Junior Will Honas is about six months off of ACL surgery and it’s unclear if he’s been cleared for full contact work yet. That leaves senior Mohamed Barry and junior Collin Miller as the only scholarship players who are known to be fully available for the spring game.
