A local reporter Tuesday asked Purdue coach Darrell Hazell what he made of facing a Nebraska football team that very easily could be 6-2 or 7-1.
Hazell, whose own team is 1-6 heading into Saturday’s game against a 3-5 Nebraska team at Ross-Ade Stadium, could only describe it as a “very bizarre year for Nebraska football” right now.
“You watch their games, all phases,” Hazell said, “and you’re right, you shake your head at the last three minutes of about four or five of those football games where they had a chance to win them and fell short.
