Petteway joined the Milwaukee Bucks team in Las Vegas and played in all five games of the team’s shortened summer league season. The squad’s run ended earlier than others because they didn’t make the playoffs.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Petteway struggled at times and looked like the best player on the court other times. He started out like gangbusters, scoring 16 points in his first game with the Bucks, and shot 6 for 10 from the field, including 3 for 6 from beyond the three-point arc.
That debut was followed up by a game Nebraska basketball fans certainly became familiar with over the years.
